How to Cheer up your children when they’re ill

Does your child have a stomach ache or a flu and isn’t going to school for a couple of days? I’m sure you don’t want him to feel bored at home. Read the following guides and advices on how to cheer your child when he’s ill.

1.      You can make up a tent with your kid and use lots of pillows and blankets. Get some tools that could be used in real camping like sleeping bags and torches. If he/she is feeling better, you can play games with them or watch a movie or read him/her a book.

2.      You can come up with some kind of day to day activities if your child is not very sick and can play around. You can give home things to do like coloring, doing jig saws, lego kits and so on. Kids love to play with these things and help them develop their thinking as well.

3.      You can buy them some toys to play with while taking a bath. Kids enjoy playing in the water and it’s nice to have new toys to play with when they’re sick to cheer them up.

There are many other things that you can do for your child when they ill. You can get them new pajamas, watch a movie together, make him food that he enjoys and you could also make a bed in your room for him on the floor with lots of pillows and blankets to keep it soft and warm.

I’ve also seen these following advices on Family Fun Magazine:

You can give your kid some chalk and let him draw on the floor if you have tile floor. It’s very easy to clean later on.

If you’re kid is not suffering from sore throat or a bad flu, you can make frozen pops.

If you’re child has chickenpox, you can use some lotion and cotton swabs to play Connect the Pox.

Children that aren’t very sick feel very bored inside the house specially if their active. You should give them extra attention and make sure to fill their day with plenty of activities until they get better and return to school.
